John is a co-founder of our company.
Since founding Focus TPS in 2004, John has served as President and Chief Consultant, working to put together
a cadre of talented individuals to meet a wide range of training and development needs.
For over seven years, John was a Master Facilitator of Executive Development and an Internal Organization
Development Consultant for Sears Roebuck and Co. He provided leadership training
and development to senior and executive level management in a variety of businesses including executive coaching, intact team
skill enhancement, influencing skills, compliance training, diversity training, workshop design and delivery as well as custom
consulting interventions.
John has over 30 years of management experience with Sears, Roebuck &
Co. with assignments at the District, Region and Headquarters levels. These have included executive positions in the areas
of Store General Management, Operations, Systems, Human Resources and Training. Throughout his career, John’s passion
was developing people. To leverage his wide range of experience, John was asked to join Sears University in 1998 as the Senior Manager of Executive Development and Director of Sears University for the Western
Region of the United States. He then moved to company Headquarters in Chicago as National Manager of Curriculum Delivery, managing a
team of nine facilitators delivering training to over 20,000 salaried managers located throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada.
John’s credentials include: Team Management Systems suite of instruments, Myers-Briggs Personality
Type Indicator administration and application, ‘Master Facilitator’ certification in Civil TreatmentÒ from Employment Learning Innovations and the Critical Decision Mapping Process. John has recently worked with these organizations, United Airlines, Provena Healthcare, Lands’ End,
Sears, Safety Kleen, Arizona Public Service, City of Phoenix, HHGregg, Nalco, American Veterinary Medical Association, Safeco and the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
John is a Certified Performance
Consultant and holds advanced executive study certifications in Strategic Management from William and Mary, Financial Management
and Economic Tools for Strategic Decision-Makers from Purdue University and Negotiations from Harvard Business School. John
has his Bachelors degree in Organization Psychology from San Diego State University and is currently working on his Masters in Organizational Behavior.
